My name is Michael Simone. I am the proud owner of the @ARGYLLE__ handle. (I have no association with the action movie or the pattern).

I have been heavily involved in art for as long as I can remember. As a child, I would draw religiously. I am proud to say that I have held on to my creativity. It’s something I’ve always exercised regularly. In grade school, I became infatuated with film as a more diverse and expressive medium. I gained a greater interest in writing and storytelling. After failing to find collaborators, I turned to animation and eventually found myself in the 3D space.
In an attempt to familiarize myself with the 3D skillset, I created an image every day for one year. Through this, I developed a style and a taste for experimentation and digital problem-solving. I am currently in college and working to develop a stronger catalog of visual work as I collaborate with others and build professional industry experience.

I’ve now been working in 3D for 6 years. I’ve been making 3D art and animation for 4 years.
At this point, creation isn’t something that I can separate from myself. I make art to express myself, to understand myself, and to stay healthy.

I have extensive graphic design experience working in 2D illustration, cartoons, and vector work via freelance. I’ve also made many album covers and promotional material through 3D. I’ve even been lucky enough to work on a few music videos as an animator, modeler, compositor, and overall VFX consultant.

My art is difficult to describe. Absurd, surreal, colorful, diverse. I would say that realism isn’t something that I typically challenge myself with as it’s already such a strength of the 3D medium. I enjoy playing around with scale, color, texture, composition, and other visual elements. I am someone who undergoes constant personal change and so does my art.
